Ingredient :
For the Cornflour Mould :
1) 2 cups water
2) 1/2 cup thick "Gula Melacca" syurp. (Boil 2-3 ozs. gula Malacca in 3/4 cup water and then strain)
3) 4 1/2 level tablespoon Cornflour
4) 1 egg white beaten to a stiff froth
Method :
Cook together (1),(2),(3), stirring all the time till mixture boils and thickens. Coll a little and then fold in the egg white which has been beaten to a stiff froth. Put into mould and chill in refrigerator.
Serve with hot Coconut Milk Sauce.
Hot Coconut Milk Sauce:
Ingredients :
1) 1 1/2 teacups coconut milk from 3/4 coconut (remove brown skin before grating coconut)
2) 1/2 teaspoon salt
3) 1 dessert-spoon cornflour
Method :
Put all ingredients in small enamel pan and bring slowly to the boil, stirring all the time.
Serve this sauce hot with chilled cornflour and "Gula Melaka" Mould.
* If fresh coconut milk not available just use fresh milk. ; )
